How the swap works

Give a book a new home.
Make a new friend.

Bring a book you loved. Find your next read, meet fellow readers, and spend an afternoon getting to know each other.

Your next read

Find your next book through someone who loved it.

Browse the books, read the notes inside and see what catches your eye. Each one comes with a few words from its last reader about why it was worth their time.

Come for the books. Stay to make friends. Spend the afternoon sharing recommendations and getting to know other readers. You already have a book to talk about.

The note

Tell the next reader why this one mattered.

Tuck a note inside the book you're passing on. Tell its next reader what made you keep turning the pages, or what you're still thinking about. A paragraph or two is plenty.

For the next reader

  1. Why did you love this book?
  2. What stayed with you?
  3. What do you hope it gives them?

Write it as if you're recommending the book to a friend.

The swap

Pick a book. Leave with another.

  1. Pick a book you loved.

Choose one you're ready to give a new home.

  2. Write to its next reader.

A short note about why you loved it goes inside.

  3. Find your next read.

Browse the swap, meet other readers and choose a book to take home.

Book check-in instructions will come with ticket details.
